Romeo who?

Last night, I had the absolute pleasure of attending &Juliet at the Bristol Hippodrome, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish, the energy, talent, and humour radiated from the stage.

The cast delivered stunning vocal performances, breathing new life into the pop songs we all know and love in clever and original ways. Every single character played their part to perfection, bringing both depth and humour to the story. Speaking of humour, the show had the audience laughing throughout – the clever script and witty one-liners kept the mood light and engaging.

A standout performance came from the actress who played Anne Hathaway (Shakespeare’s wife, not the actress!). She was magnetic on stage, delivering a perfect balance of charm, comedic timing, and powerhouse vocals. She had the audience captivated every time she stepped into the spotlight.

The choreography was great also, dynamic and inventive, perfectly complementing the music. The use of familiar pop songs was masterfully done, allowing the audience that safety of familiarity with the excitement of the unknown in this Shakespeare story.

This production of &Juliet is a brilliant celebration of love, self-discovery, and empowerment. It’s an absolute must-see – an evening of pure entertainment that will leave you singing and smiling long after the final curtain call!

& Juliet is at the Bristol Hippodrome 15-25th Jan. Tickets from £13
