KING PINS IS GIVING THE CLASS OF ’66 FREE BOWLING THIS WORLD CUP

After sixty years of hurt, King Pins is offering anyone born in 1966 with free bowling during the World Cup, to celebrate screening the action this summer

Sixty years on from England’s only World Cup win, King Pins is rewarding those who have spent six decades waiting patiently for football to come home – those born in 1966 can swap the usual commiseration pint for a free bowling game with the family (up to four people), throughout the whole tournament.

The campaign is part of King Pins’ wider World Cup celebration, with the venue being an ultimate spot for families, mates and football fans looking for more than just a packed pub and a warm pint. FIFA World Cup matches will be screened live in the venue, with guests able to pair the football with bowling, games, food and drinks all under one roof.

To claim the offer, those born in 1966 simply email proof of age via a valid government-issued photo ID to 60years@pinsleisure.co.uk. Successful applicants receive a £60 voucher redeemable against a bowling booking for up to four people. The offer is available to the first 260 claimants only, valid between 1 June and 19 July 2026.

Designed to be a more relaxed and family-friendly alternative to traditional sports bars, King Pins gives guests the chance to watch the football without sacrificing the fun. Parents can settle in for the match while kids stay entertained with activities including Ten Pin Bowling, Ice Free Curling, Shuffleboard, American Pool, Karaoke, Tech Darts and a fully fitted Arcade, creating a more relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere away from overcrowded bars or flying pints.

Exclusive World Cup food packages will also be available throughout the tournament, featuring pizzas, chicken tenders, loaded fries and sharers, making it the perfect place for families, friends and football fans alike.

James Travis, Head of Brand Marketing at King Pins, said: “The class of ’66 have waited long enough for another win, so giving them a free game felt like the perfect way to celebrate. Whether coming for the football, the bowling, the food or all three, we’re all about bringing generations together and creating an atmosphere that everyone can enjoy.”

The offer is available for the first 260 claimants only and valid between Monday 1st June and Sunday 19th July 2026, subject to availability.
