I had the pleasure of seeing Hairspray at the Bristol Hippodrome last night, and it was a fantastic evening full of energy, laughter, and brilliant performances. The entire cast delivered outstanding vocal performances, with powerful singing that brought the show’s iconic songs to life.

Their chemistry on stage was evident, making the relationships between the characters feel genuine and heartfelt. This was especially strong between Tracey & Link (Katie Brace & Solomon Davy) and Edna & Wilbur Turnblad (Neil Hurst & Dermot Canavan)

The humour was spot-on, keeping the audience engaged and entertained throughout, and the show’s uplifting message came through beautifully.

While the choreography could have been a little stronger, the enthusiasm and charisma of the cast more than made up for it.

Overall, it was a feel-good, high-energy production that left everyone smiling. A great night out that’s definitely worth seeing!
