Old meets new at NQ64 – Bristol’s 80s-inspired drinking-come-gaming den
If you want a glimpse into what life was like back in the 80s, take a trip to Bristol’s NQ64.
Filled with retro arcade gaming machines such as Tetris (I was addicted), Mario Kart, Space Invaders and Pac-Man, plus pinball (who can resist?) and classic console games, I enjoyed a nostalgic trip back in time.
Each game takes 1-2 tokens per player (tokens are £8 for 15 tokens and you can book a two-hour slot, but can stay longer).
The fabulous Royal Crumble cocktail
The neon bedecked venue, styled with graffiti doors and tables, and filled with the sounds of a DJ, also offers a fantastic range of cocktails from timeless classics such as Margaritas and Negronis to its new summer range.
The Royal Crumble was fabulous, reminding me of rhubarb and custard sweets (in a good way) as was my partner’s zesty Lemmingade, and we couldn’t resist a Negroni cocktail each – our fave! These cocktails are up there with the best we have tried.
If you are looking for a unique evening out, or a trip back down memory lane, this retro venue is well worth a visit!
