Latest Update –
The occupants of the vehicles parked in the park are being served with trespass notices today. – Updated by Friends of Redcatch Park
As many local residents have noticed, an unauthorised collection of vehicles moved into Redcatch park yesterday. The park is frequently used for dog walking and by children to play, and local residents have expressed concern.
The Friends of Redcatch Park have issued a statement regarding this issue:
“Bristol City Council and our Councillors are aware of the unauthorised vehicles currently occupying a part of our park since yesterday afternoon.
Bristol City Council Parks team, our Councillors and the Police are working with the GRT (Gypsy, Roma and Traveller) team from the Council to resolve this situation as quickly as possible. Redcatch Community Garden and us Friends are in dialogue with the Council and our Councillors and will post updates here as and when we have any news.
We ask that users of the park do not interfere with this situation and allow the authorities to do what they can to resolve this as quickly and effectively as possible.
Thank you for your care and understanding.”
When we receive further information, the South Bristol Voice will update.
