Lord visits Hillcrest Primary School

Earlier this month some of the pupils at Hillcrest Primary had a very special visitor pop in to see them whilst they were hard at work.

Peter Lord from Aardman Animation, who is Class 3EN’s Role Model, came down to meet the class and show them some of his amazing talent while answering questions and demonstrating just what a great role model he is.

He brought some plasticine and whilst he was talking to the class, he even modelled Morph for them! Imagine being able to model something as iconic as Morph while not even concentrating!

Sadly, the Hillcrest Morph couldn’t stay – he rolled back into a blob and went back into Peter’s bag. Did you know that an original Morph model can fetch over £1,000?

Morph was ‘born’ way back in 1977, and Peter told the pupils that he is still his favourite character out of all of the Aardman Creations.

Peter also took the time to talk about his work to the whole school in a special assembly and he was the first person to sign our new Role Models board!

The pupils and Staff were so excited and pleased to welcome Peter Lord to the school and really enjoyed seeing his skills up close.
