Barcan+Kirby has just won the Inclusion and Diversity award at Business Leader South West Awards
Bristol law firm Barcan+Kirby has been honoured with the prestigious Inclusion and Diversity Award at this year’s Business Leader South West Awards. The ceremony, held at Aerospace Bristol on 19 September, saw the firm’s head of marketing and business development, Lucy Harttrup, and executive partner, Anna Wilson, proudly accept the trophy on behalf of the team.
This award highlights Barcan+Kirby’s commitment to building an inclusive and diverse workplace that aligns with the firm’s core values. In recent years, the firm has made significant strides in enhancing its working culture.
Key initiatives include the formation of an ED+I (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) committee, partnering with the Muslim Employment Charter, becoming members of the Bristol Women in Business Charter, and actively working towards Menopause Friendly Accreditation. The firm has also introduced policies, training, and guidance for managers on neurodiversity, further demonstrating its dedication to supporting all staff.
Lucy Harttrup, chair of the firm’s ED+I committee, shared her excitement about the win: “We are absolutely thrilled to receive this award.
