The decision to reject the Broadwalk development plans has been overturned in a shocking re vote.
In a meeting, which was said to be just a formality in which campaigners did not need to attend, developers were in attendance with along Councillor Gary Hopkins, Richard Eddy and other council leaders.
After discussion and a revote, opinions had changed and so with 3 votes for, two against and one abstaining, the chair used the casting vote and the permission was approved for the existing development plans.
